It is stipulated in CIDB Act 520 (Amendment 2021) that only building materials which have received the Standard Compliance Declaration (Perakuan Pematuhan Standard or PPS) can be used in construction projects (Fourth Schedule of the Act). One of the main technical document required for consideration of PPS is the Product Certification (PC) issued by CIDB recognised certification body.
Therefore, we are, in its effort to uphold the Act’s requirements, offering product certification services to end-users, importers and manufacturers. Certibuild (M) Sdn Bhd as a Certification Body (CB) accredited under International Standard ISO/IEC 17065:2012 by the Department of Standard Malaysia (DSM). We have qualified and experienced auditors capable of performing on-site inspections, factory audits, and product samplings.

Inspections are based on established inspection procedures and the requirements of importers, regulators (CIS 22, CIS 23, etc.) and clients.
CERTIBUILD Green Product Certification Scheme
CERTIBUILD Malaysia is pleased to introduce the Green Product Certification Scheme, aimed at promoting sustainability and reducing carbon emissions within the construction industry. This Green Product Certification Scheme is classified as a Voluntary Sustainable Scheme. By categorising the Green Product Certification Scheme as a Voluntary Sustainable Scheme, CERTIBUILD Malaysia emphasises its commitment to promoting sustainability while encouraging positive contributions from construction product manufacturers. This classification positions the scheme as a collaborative effort towards achieving a greener and more sustainable future for the industry.
A green product can generally be defined as a product that, from raw material extraction and processing to use and end-of-life disposal, lessens its impact on the environment as thoroughly as possible. Green Product Certification aims to assess the holistic framework and highlight the way forward to achieve excellence in environmental performance.
The certification system guides the manufacturers to position their products as green and eco-friendly and produce less carbon emission. The Green Product Certification system adopts Cradle to Cradle approach for evaluation, at par with international Standards. The Green Products Certification adopts a holistic approach based on the product’s life cycle. The certification system encourages the product manufacturers to implement green measures in all phases of the product, e.g., Design, Raw/Constituent Materials, Manufacturing Process, Product Performance, and Recycling/Disposal.
READY-MIXED CONCRETE CERTIFICATION
Construction Industry Standard 21 (hereinafter referred to as CIS 21) is a standard focused on Ready Mixed Concrete and serves as a basis for ready-mixed concrete producers in ensuring their Ready Mixed Concrete Plant, production and production control, transportation and delivery are independently certified by a certification body recognised by CIDB Malaysia.
